30 Ideas For Self-CareThe need for self-care ideas? We all know the saying from the Snickers commercials “You’re not you when you’re hungry!” Well, you’re also not you when you don’t take care of yourself. I know that I personally start to get grumpy and irritable when I don’t sit at least five minutes aside for self-care.

Why should you develop a self-care routine?

Developing your self-care routine can help boost your mood, confidence and also can contribute to increasing your mental wellness. Hence, you should pick at least two or more ideas to do every day. Selfcare can take a total of 5 minutes or you could dedicate your whole day enjoying yourself and boosting your mood and showing yourself some self-love!

So what are some Self-care ideas?

5-minute – 10-minute ideas

Some five to ten-minute self-care ideas can be:

  • Deep breathing
  • Listening to your favorite song
  • Get fresh air
  • Stretch
  • Pet your dog, or cat!
  • Dance
  • Color or draw
  • Quick yoga
  • Exercise
  • Call a family member
  • Drink some water
  • Burn some sage

30-minute ideas

  • Deep-sea facial mask
  • Taking a nature walk
  • Gardening
  • Reading poetry
  • Writing your thoughts down
  • get in your jammies and paint your nails, don’t forget your toes!
  • Meditate
  • Learn something new
  • Take a bath with a new bath bomb
  • Get crafty
  • Spend time with your crystal buddies

Got all day?

Now some of these won’t exactly take up your whole day, but you could make it last all day. For example, you could do some mix and match of other categories and making a whole day for self-care, ending in a nice bath with a good read and some wine!
